Originating from Norfolk, Amy trained and qualified as an architect in Birmingham before moving to London and spending seven years working on a wide range of   hotel, office & retail projects both nationwide and internationally with epr Architects Ltd.

Coming back to her home county, she enjoyed working as an associate with LSI Architects LLP. This gave her the opportunity to work on Surestart schemes, on award winning UEA campus buildings and on the refurbishment of the historic Marble Hall for Aviva, prior to starting up amy tyrrell architects in 2005.

Neal moved from Ireland having trained as a construction technician, to study and qualify as an architect in Birmingham.  He worked in Dublin in private practice during his study and later at Nichol Thomas Ltd. in Birmingham.  Neal moved to London and joined Taylor Williams Daley Partnership in Clapham, where he enjoyed working on bespoke private houses, restaurant refurbishments and office developments. 

On coming to Norwich he briefly joined LSI Architects LLP before moving onto Chaplin Farrant Ltd. where he became an Associate and worked on the Oaklands Hotel lodges, the award winning Palace Street Offices scheme and affordable flats in Corporation Yard for Orbit Housing, prior to starting up practice with Amy in 2008.
